Meditation Monday: United in Spirit

“Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:3-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Heavenly Father, thank you for being our example of perfect peace and unity. You are a triune God who doesn’t compete or compare but rather is united as one. Lord, I pray this prayer at a time when the world is greatly divided and filled with so much hate. A time when the world seems to be in chaos and out of control.

Lord I pray for a Revival. We are in need of you more than ever. The world is filled with so much darkness, so much unrest and so much emptiness. I pray for forgiveness. Forgiveness for all of us who have been complacent in our faith; forgiveness for the Christians who have remained silent for so long; for those who have refused to share the Gospel out of fear or embarrassment or worry about what others think. While we were sleeping, the enemy was at work. He has turned so many away from you and continues to do so. Open our eyes to the spiritual battle taking place and help us to put on the full armor of God.

Lord, go before me this week. Give me a fresh filling of your Holy Spirit. Open my eyes to the things I do not see; give me courage and boldness to speak truth and to shine your light into the darkness. Search my heart Lord and point out anything that is displeasing to you. Help me to be united with You, bind my wandering heart to You so that I may love like you love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
